Oncosia Scientific GmbH is a specialist dosimetry service company working at the intersection of nuclear medicine, medical physics, and regulated clinical research. We deliver patient-specific dosimetry for targeted radionuclide therapies to clinical centres, pharmaceutical sponsors, CROs, and academic partners across the EU, US, and China.
What this is.
This role centers on site qualification: you will travel to nuclear medicine departments across the EU, US, and China to lead and support site qualification activities — training onsite staff, conducting phantom studies, and qualifying equipment such as PET/CT, SPECT/CT, radionuclide calibrators, and well counters. Patient-specific dosimetry is also part of the role, but it is a smaller share of the work — the emphasis is on hands-on site work, not calculation. You report to the Chief Scientific Officer and work closely with clinical partners and the Oncosia scientific team.
Because our client base spans the EU, US, and China, you will travel to partner sites (roughly 30% of the time) — communicating in Mandarin with clinical staff and colleagues in China, and in English elsewhere.
You can be based in Germany or directly in China — for China-based candidates, the engagement runs via an Employer of Record (EOR) or a freelance arrangement.
What you will do.
Site Qualification & Training
- Travel to nuclear medicine departments to lead or support site qualification: phantom studies, equipment qualification procedures, gamma counter qualification, and radionuclide cross-calibration.
- Train onsite staff on protocols and procedures.
Data Quality Control
- Check completeness, consistency, and quality of received imaging and clinical data before processing.
- QC received scans, requiring detailed, hands-on knowledge of imaging systems.
SOPs & Documentation
- Follow and maintain SOPs for phantom studies, radionuclide calibrator and well counter procedures, and PET/CT and SPECT/CT handling.
- Document results in internal and client-facing templates; participate in peer review and case discussions with clinical partners and Oncosia staff.
Dosimetry Support
- Perform dosimetry calculations for radionuclide therapies from provided imaging data and clinical input, applying standardized protocols for image processing and absorbed dose estimation. A smaller part of the role.
What we are looking for.
Background & experience
- Hands-on experience working with radiopharmaceuticals in a hot lab environment, and with PET/CT and/or SPECT/CT scanners in a clinical or research setting.
- At least 4 years of practical experience with targeted radionuclide therapy or nuclear medicine imaging.
- Master's degree in Medical Physics or a related scientific/technical field (e.g. nuclear engineering, biomedical engineering) — or equivalent, demonstrated expertise as a nuclear medicine technologist. Both paths are welcome; what matters is hands-on, practical expertise, not a specific degree.
- Experience with dosimetry software is a plus, though not required.
- Attendance at scientific congresses, workshops, or courses on image quantification, dosimetry, or related topics is beneficial.
Site qualification requirements
- Ready and able to travel to sites from day one to lead or support site qualification activities — Oncosia's team will support your continued growth in this area.
- Medical Physics Expert (MPE) certificate (where applicable) or a proven equivalent track record.
- Extensive experience with PET/CT and SPECT/CT system setup and configuration.
- Experience handling equipment such as radionuclide calibrators, well counters, and other equipment commonly used in nuclear medicine departments.
Location

Languages
- Mandarin Chinese — native/mother-tongue level, written and spoken.
- English — excellent, written and spoken.
- German — a plus.
